The event, which will be held from September 30 to October 1 at the National Convention Center in Nam Tu Liem District, Hanoi, promises to be an outstanding one.

It aims to boost efforts in technology application, transfer and innovation, while bridging the gap between technology supply and demand, said Nguyen Hong Son, Director of Hanoi's Department of Science and Technology.

He added that attendees can expect to see cutting-edge technological advancements from both domestic and international sources, showcased across various sectors.

Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2024 will strengthen cooperation among enterprises, research organizations and government agencies, and facilitate partnerships in applied research and innovation between Vietnamese enterprises and global partners, the director stressed.

Under the theme "Promoting Innovation - A Driving Force for Rapid and Sustainable Socioeconomic Development," Techconnect and Innovation Vietnam 2024 will feature engaging activities, including discussions on the role of innovation in Hanoi's businesses and a series of forums linking technology and innovation in sectors such as healthcare, construction, and agriculture.

As part of the event, a conference on local technology transfer for 2024 will highlight notable  technological achievements and facilitate connections between technology providers and seekers.

Last year, the activity was held in the northern province of Quang Ninh, with between 200 and 250 booths, attracting some 7,500 visitors in person and another 10,000 online.

Over the past 11 years, this event has successfully identified approximately 2,300 technology supply sources and over 300 expert profiles tailored to various businesses and organizations. It has showcased some 3,000 innovative processes and products from more than 1,000 institutes and companies worldwide.
