AlSC 2025 to connect local businesses with global AI opportunities

The five-day international event, themed "Innovating Futures: AI & Semiconductors Globally," is expected to provide local businesses with meaningful connections with global companies, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in AI and semiconductors.

The International Al-Semiconductor Conference (AlSC 2025), the first of its kind in Vietnam will be held from March 12-16 in Hanoi and the central coast city of Danang.

The five-day international event, themed "Innovating Futures: AI & Semiconductors Globally," is expected to provide local businesses with meaningful connections with global companies, facilitate the exchange of knowledge and experience in AI and semiconductors, and contribute to the development of Vietnam's semiconductor industry.

Industry leaders expressed their expectations for the event during a press conference today [February 24] at the National Innovation Center (NIC) headquarters.

Trinh Khac Hue, General Director of Qorvo Vietnam, announced that the company, in partnership with NIC, is organizing training courses based on US standards to support the goal of training 50,000 semiconductor engineers in Vietnam. He emphasized that the initiative aims to connect local businesses with global expertise, contributing to the continued growth of Vietnam’s semiconductor industry.”

Christopher Nguyen, CEO and co-founder of US-based Aitomatic and co-chair of AlSC 2025, highlighted the conference's potential to provide invaluable opportunities for Vietnam, facilitating a shift from indirect to direct transactions based on partnerships formed during the event.

The conference will bring together nearly 1,000 influential experts, scientists and enterprises in the AI and semiconductor sectors, with the aim of promoting cooperation, knowledge sharing and guiding technology development in Vietnam and the region.

According to Vu Quoc Huy, NIC Director, the conference will update businesses, research institutes, and universities on AI development trends, promote opportunities between domestic and foreign enterprises, and provide insights for AI and semiconductor policymakers.

He added that the conference will see the launch of SemiKong, an open source chip manufacturing platform developed by Aitomatic in collaboration with FPT Software and international semiconductor experts. This initiative represents a significant step in the integration of AI into global chip manufacturing.

NIC will also partner with META, NVIDIA, and Aitomatic to announce the development of a Vietnamese language dataset for AI research, a critical foundation for Vietnam's ambition to become an AI powerhouse and democratize access to AI, the director said.

In 2025, NIC plans to further enhance investment attraction and business connectivity for domestic and international enterprises through various initiatives, including the Vietnam Innovation Challenge 2025, the establishment of a semiconductor training center, and Innovate Vietnam 2025.
