US Secretary of State Marco Rubio shared his views during a phone talk with Vietnam’s Deputy Minister and Foreign Minister Bui Thanh Son on January 24.

At the phone talk, Son congratulated Marco Rubio on his appointment as US Secretary of State and reaffirmed the US as one of Vietnam’s most important comprehensive strategic partners. He welcomed US support for a strong, independent, resilient, and prosperous Vietnam and expressed his desire for continued collaboration to advance the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.
