Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day observed in Ho Chi Minh City

The southern metropolis celebrated the nationwide event with an array of activities joined by a large number of participants who are publishing professionals and readers.

Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day [April 21] was observed in Ho Chi Minh City with a variety of topics that drew interest from the general public.

 

The week-long event is considered a festival for book producers and readers nationwide and will last a week from mid-April in some big cities nationwide, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Hue, and Danang.

 

This year's event in Ho Chi Minh City becomes remarkable with the participation of well-known writers and celebrities who help promote the reading culture. Among the ambassadors of Vietnam Book and Reading Culture Day are 103-year-old researcher Nguyen Dinh Tu and 1st runner-up Thuy Van.

 

The event displayed ten of thousands of books and marked a series of activities joined by a large crowd.
