According to the Secretary of the Vietnam Cuisine Culture Association Le Tan, the initiative of “Map of Vietnam’s Culinary Tourism” is the first of its kind in Vietnam that helps widely introduce the nation’s cuisine to friends around the world.

The map of Vietnamese cuisine is built under the form of a digital database where information about tourism destinations and their specialties are integrated.

“The images and videos of Vietnamese specialties will be synthesized and displayed on a map of Vietnam by regions, provinces and cities across the country. Visitors may get full information about their desire travel destinations as well as the regional specialties just via a click. They can also interact with local restaurants or eateries at these destinations,” said Le Tan.

The map’s nice experiences and beautiful photos will be shared by influential individuals of society on social networks to spread widely the culinary culture of Vietnam.

According to culinary expert Ly Sanh, former Chairman of the Saigon Professional Chefs Association, food accounts for 25% of tourism revenue, even in many localities this figure is 50%.

The development of “Map of Vietnam’s culinary tourism” is expected to help promote tourism in particular, and the economy in general after the Covid-19 pandemic.
