Over 6.7 million people in Hanoi covered with health insurance

The number of people participating in unemployment insurance was 1.5 million people, reaching 93.7% of the target.

The number of compulsory social insurance enrollments in Hanoi reached 1.6 million people while those of health insurance were 6.7 million people, or 82.1% of the city's population, by the end of July, according to Tien Phong newspaper.

The number of people participating in unemployment insurance was 1.5 million people, reaching 93.7% of the target.
Total income of social, health and unemployment insurance by the end of July was VND23,652.6 billion (US$1.03 billion), reaching 54.51% of the target and up 13.1% year-on-year.
Health insurance coverage of disadvantaged groups reached 90% and 100% of the beneficiaries of social protection policies and state subsidies including near-poor households, students and pupils, An Ninh Thu Do newspaper quoted Deputy General Director of Vietnam’s Social Insurance Department Pham Luong Son as stressing.
In the coming time, the city will simultaneously implement solutions to have more compulsory participation in social insurance, unemployment insurance, and voluntary social insurance.
