Hanoi OCOP fair to improve brand recognition

Different stakeholders joining the week-long exhibition are expected to strengthen linkages in the value chain and consumption of the One Commune One Product (OCOP) products.

The Hanoi OCOP Introduction Week, with 50 participating booths, is expected to offer various products to local consumers and help OCOP products easily distinguished.

Held at Melinh Plaza Trade Center, Ha Dong District, until September 25, participants including distribution units, trade centers, supermarkets, shops selling safe agricultural products, e-commerce platforms, and online salesmen have an opportunity to enhance trade connections and promote sales so that consumers from the city, the country and from abroad can recognize OCOP brands.

According to Permanent Deputy Chief of the Hanoi Office Coordination Office of the New Rural Construction Program Nguyen Van Chi, in the past time, the city has been very interested in directing departments and localities to organize the events connecting actors in the OCOP product trade.

"The presence of OCOP's products is increasing in the market, making the goods highly appreciated by consumers in Hanoi and across the country thanks to quality, good design and packaging. In addition, a large number of products meeting food safety help make the OCOP brand more popular," he stressed.

Chi suggested that different stakeholders participating in the fair should maintain and improve quality, design, and packaging as well as strengthen linkages in the value chain to boost consumption.

Delegates attend the opening ceremony of the event on September 21.

The event is part of the city's programs on Investment, Trade, and Tourism Promotion Program and One Commune One Product (OCOP) promotion in 2022.

Earlier, the city also hosted festivals promoting OCOP and agricultural products associated with the Hanoi 2022 Tourism in Ba Vi, Chuong My and My Duc Districts to strengthen the trade linkage between the city and localities across the country in the consumption of agricultural products.
